Chester Greenwood / Earmuffs
Chester invented earmuffs at the age of 15. He started with two ear-shaped loops made out of wire, with fur sewn on them by his grandmother. He received a patent in 1877 for an improved model with a steel band to hold them in place.

Chris Haas / Hands-on Basketball
Chris invented a basketball at the age of 9 with hands painted on it to indicate the correct positions to hold the ball when shooting after watching his friends miss "easy" shots during basketball practice at school. He entered his school Invention Convention and though he didn't win he was encouraged to get a patent by his teachers and he went on to get the Hands-on basketball manufactured.
Elise Veach / The Mouse Round Up Game
When Elise was 6 years old she entered a contest with her invention of a new Board game - The Mouse Round up. The players play cats trying to catch mice. The first player to catch 5 mice wins.
George Nissen
At 16 years old, George Nissen worked in his parents' garage and built his first jumping device which proved to be an instant hit when he brought it to a camp that he and his friends had worked at.

At age 5 Jeanie invented a stool that was built in to the bathroom vanity so that she could reach the sink. She was using a plastic step and thought it would be easier if she could just pull the step out from the vanity.

K-K invented Wristies ® at the age of 10 in 1994. Wristies ® are devices to keep snow from getting into the sleeves of your coat.
Kavita Shukla / Hazardous Container Safety Cap
Kavita invented a lab safety device for bottles containing hazardous materials after watching her mother forget to put the gas cap back on after getting gas at the gas station.
Kelly Reinhart / Thigh Pack
Kelly invented the thigh pack at age 5 after seeing cowboys wearing holsters in Westerns on TV. She designed a pack to hold a portable video game player and games that tie onto your belt and around your thigh. She developed a company TPak International of which she is the chairperson and they have sold nearly $1 million worth in Thigh Packs.
Krysta Morlan / The Cast Cooler
Krysta was in grade 10 when she invented the cast cooler, a device that relieves the irritation caused by wearing a cast.
Lindsey Clement / Sweet Gum Gatherer
Invented the gumball machine. This is not what you think. Lindsey invented a lawn mower type device to pick up the prickly fruit that falls from the sweet-gum trees in her yard.

Luisa Bundy / Bundies Dolls
Luisa, who lives in England, started making dolls when she was 12 years old. She called them "Little Bundies" and gave them to all of her friends. Now Luisa’s dolls are being sold at the famous toy shop Hamley’s
